I was going to say one of the Bond Omegas, but I came across
Clint Eastwood’s Root Beer Rolex and had to stop right there.
Very cool watch, and I like that it’s probably his watch.

There can only be one for me.. The Bond Submariner..

Clint Eastwood’s Root Beer Rolex  is very cool, so I’ll go for that.

Must agree with Harold, Submariner classic with a smaller size Nato-strap!!!

The main reason I love this site is because Jim allows a direct hyperlink to post your pics, unlike another one I will forgo mentioning right now.

My favorite movie watch is Steve McQueen’s Rolex 5512 Submariner he sported in The Towering Inferno (1974) and in his last film, The Hunter (1980). He also wore it on the set of Papillon (1973) but not in the movie itself.

Everyone thinks he wore a 1655 Explorer 2, which he never did. I can prove it!

I chose the above watch because I like the black subdials & the cool aesthetics. Price wise is Ouch! $5000

I love the whole site and have often ended up here when just searching google to find out some brands and models, but now I’m smart enough to just start here! My favourites (today) would have to be any of the Top Gear’s guys watch, especially the Omega Seamasters. But really, if you ask me again later I’d likely find plenty others. Great site though, thanks for all the work you put into it.

My vote goes to Thwizzit’s portrait shot of Meg Ryan from When Harry Met Sally. Works for me on so many levels.  Captured the moment image , Meg is gorgeous, nice classy watch.  If the likes of George Clooney & Cindy Crawford can be ambassadors for Omega, then Meg should be one for this brand, albeit unidentified at the moment.  I’d buy it !  lol !

My favorite is the the Rolex “Bond” Submariner 6538 from Dr. No (1962).

My favorite watch sighting in a movie is Bill Murray’s Vostok Amphibia from The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. It is largely responsible for me getting into Russian watches. Now not only do I have a Vostok, but so does my brother and a coworker.

    • Giacomo

Apart from the fact that i own an Omega Seamaster Pro (the Bond watch), i’ll have to admit, i’ve always fancied De Niro’s watch in “Ronin”: it has that military look which i really love.

My favorite watch is the one worn by Walter Sobcheck in the Big Lebowski. Admittedly, this has more to do with the hilariousness of the character than with the actual watch, though it is very fitting. If you haven’t seen the movie, you definitely should check it out immediately!

    • Theo

I’m a big fan of Tom Cruise’s IWC Mark XV, which appears in Vanilla Sky. Such a classy choice.

I’d have to go with the Lancet WWI Trench Watch used in the film Pulp Fiction.  Bruce Willis’ character (Butch) risks life to retrieve his father’s watch for obvious reasons.  The simple gold watch was an integral part of the film and effected the lives of many other memorable characters such as Vincent Vega, Marsellus, and the infamous Zed.   And Christopher Walken has a great cameo scene as Captain Koonz explains the watch’s journey to young Butch.

I like Pacino’s Tag Heuer in Insomnia.

    • Chris

It would have to be the Seiko 6309 Divers watch in the movie Faster.  I purposely watched the movie because knowing Seiko is in it.

    • B V McCullough

I would have the say the best is the Victorinox Swiss Army Chrono recently debuted in Source Code. The watch fits in perfect with the theme of the movie in two ways; Army and chrono. Great movie, great watch.

    • Joseff Indradjaja

I’m going to go with the Seiko 6309 in The Abyss.
Why?  Because it’s my watch! :)

The JLC Reverso in Thomas Crown Affair, because it’s just amazing, its highly unique,
it’s timeless, very original, classic and yet modern, in one word sipmly and unbelievably
      stunnig.

My favorite appearance of a watch in a movie is the TAG Heuer Carrera Calibre 5 Automatic featured in Inception (2010) and worn by Leonardo DiCaprio. This is my favorite watch and it is featured in my favorite movie. The Carrera is a timeless and elegant classic and Leonardo DiCaprio (ambassador for TAG Heuer) is the perfect person to wear the watch.

My favorite watch appearance would be Bear Grylls wearing his breitling emergency on Man vs Wild. I’m curious if he would actually use it if he got into a real emergency, if he somehow got separated from his camera crew.

    • Jeffrey A Headrick

I like the two Breitlings (white dial Colt diver and dark dial chrono) worn by John Travolta in “The Taking of Pelham 123″ because they represent what is, to my mind, the worst case of a continuity break I’ve yet seen in a movie. I watched the movie this afternoon and there was one scene where Travolta checks the time on his watch in a tight close up wrist shot (showing the Colt) and the very next scene is a pull back shot showing him wearing the chrono.

    • B. Smith

I’ll go classic and say the James Bond wrist shots that helped put the submariner on tons of wis-lists.  It’s not the reason I love the watch, but just one more thing about it that’s cool.

    • Albin Hultman

My favourite sighting would be the one of the two vastly different but still both beautiful watches from Apocalypse Now.

Marlon Brandos Rolex GMT Master and Martin Sheens Seiko 6105.

The main reason for this sighting being my favourite is the fact that it was by googling and searching for what watch Sheen was wearing in the movie that brought me to this site.
The site has been bookmarked since and gets visited by me at every update,

I’d go with the Omega Speedmaster in The American, there were some great closeups of the watch.
I’ve been looking into getting a Speedmaster ever since I purchased my Planet Ocean and I really like the Omega styles.
